We are pleased to welcome Dr. Billy Lones as president of Jackson Christian as of June 1, 2023. Dr. Lones come to Jackson Christian after serving nineteen years in Christian education at York University in York, Nebraska.

In 2008, Dr. Lones developed and designed curriculum for a criminal justice major and headed the department for many years. In 2022, Dr. Lones accepted the position of Provost at York University, and continues in that role to the end of the 2022-2023 academic school year. Dr. Lones is a product of Christian education, having graduated from Madison Academy in Huntsville, Ala., and earning his bachelors and doctorate of jurisprudence from Faulkner University.

“We are proud to welcome Dr. Lones to our Jackson Christian family,” Board of Directors Chair Brian Pearson said. “His years of experience in Christian education and his aptitude for leadership will prove to be invaluable on our campus and help move us forward.”

Dr. Lones plans to reside in Jackson with his wife, Christi, and two children, Cooper and Calleigh.
