ELV Students:
Infants through Junior K are not required to wear uniforms.
Kindergarten-5th Grade Approved Attire:
- Long or short sleeve black, royal blue, gray or white knit shirt from The Uniform Source
- Long sleeve white or blue oxford cloth shirt from The Uniform Source
- Khaki or black pants or shorts
- Closed-toe and closed-heel shoes
- Boots (Students will be responsible for bringing athletic shoes to participate in PE.).
- Solid white, khaki, blue or black socks (Socks are required.)
- Hairstyles should have a neat appearance.
- No caps or hats are permitted in the building.
- All questions and concerns relating to the appropriateness of dress and personal grooming at school shall be determined by the administration.
Specific to Girls:
- Gray or black polo dress
- Black cardigan sweater from any vendor
- Plaid skort from The Uniform Source
- Khaki or black skirt, skort, or capris
- “Modesty” shorts/compression shorts may be worn under a skirt.
- Solid white or black, opaque, non-ribbed tights
- Legging may only be worn under a skirt. They are not to be worn as pants.
Outerwear:
- Solid black or royal fleece or royal quarter zip, black stadium jacket, black windbreaker or sweatshirts with the school logo purchased through The Uniform Source or the Jackson Christian store
- Solid black fleece with a logo no larger than a credit card
- A jacket of any other color may be worn to school, but must remain in the cubby during the school day.
Secondary Approved Attire:
- Long or short sleeve black, royal blue, gray or white knit shirt from The Uniform Source
- All tops (excluding dress shirts) must have the school-approved logo visible on the upper left and be from The Uniform Source, Jackson Christian Eagles Nest or the Jackson Christian store.
- Long sleeve white or blue oxford cloth shirt
- Khaki or black pants or shorts
- Solid white, khaki, or black socks
- Black or royal zip from The Uniform Source
Specific to Girls:
- Black cardigan sweater from any vendor
- Plaid skort from The Uniform Source
- Khaki or black skirt, skort, or capris (Solid white or black, opaque, non-ribbed leggings or tights can be worn under the skirt or skort.)
- Solid white knee or bobby socks
- “Modesty” shorts/compression shorts may be worn under skirt.
Additional Guidelines
- All clothing must be of appropriate size, worn modestly, and in good repair.
- All boys’ shirts are to be tucked in and be long enough to remain tucked in throughout the school day.
- Belts are required for boys.
- All khaki pants, shorts, skorts, skirts and capris must be the traditional khaki color. (These may be purchased from any vendor.)
- Administration requests appropriateness/modesty be considered, especially in regard to length, for all items worn. A good guide would be fingertip length with your arms at your side.
- Sandals without a heel strap are permitted. Flip-flops or slides are not permitted.
Spirit Wear:
- “Spirit Wear Day” is designated as the final school day of every regular week.
- T-shirts and all outerwear worn on Spirit Wear Day must be purchased from the Eagles Nest or given by Jackson Christian. Shirts acquired by various student clubs/groups are subject to approval by the administration.
- Jeans (with NO holes) are allowed as part of Spirit Wear Days.
Outerwear:
- Black, royal, grey, or white quarter zip, stadium jacket, or windbreaker purchased from the Uniform Source or the Eagles Nest.
- JCS sweatshirts/hoodies may be worn as outerwear during the school day.
- When not wearing a JCS polo under outerwear, students must wear a white, blue, grey, or black undershirt.
Dress for Success Days:
- Wednesday is designated as dress for success day for secondary students.
- Girls will wear plaid or khaki skirt/skort or black dress pants with a white or blue button-down shirt and a white, blue, black, or grey JCS approved polo.
- Boys will wear khaki pants with a white or blue button-down shirt or a white, blue, black, or grey JCS approved polo.
- JCS approved quarter zips are permitted
- Sweatshirts and hoodies are not permitted on dress for success days.
- Ties, blazers, dress shoes are optional.
Personal Appearance:
- Boys are not allowed to wear earrings or fingernail polish. Other visible body art or body piercing is not allowed.
- Hair:
- No coloring that will draw attention
- Hairstyles and facial hair should have a neat appearance.
- “Neat appearance” will be determined by the Dean of Students office
- Girls may wear an appropriate number of earrings in the conventional manner. All other types of body piercing are not allowed. Visible body art is not permitted.
- Hats are not permitted during the school day.

Senior Portraits
Students will be required to submit both a formal and casual picture for the yearbook.
- Male students will wear a tux for the formal picture.
- Female students will wear a drape for the formal picture.
- All students must dress modestly and adhere to the school guidelines for the casual picture.
